What is IVF?

IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is a process where an egg is fertilized outside the body, and the resulting embryo is then transferred to the uterus.IVF can be a solution for various fertility issues, including blocked fallopian tubes.

Before starting in vitro fertilization, a complete examination of the patient and individual preparation are required. The stages of in vitro fertilization are:

  1. Ovarian stimulation.
  2. Follicle aspiration.
  3. Removal of eggs from follicular fluid, processing and preparation for fertilization.
  4. Selection of the best quality egg. ICSI - fertilization of eggs with the processed best spermatozoide.
  5. Embryo cultivation
  6. Transfer of the the 3rd days 8-cell embryo or the 5th day - blastocyst into the uterine cavity. If the transfer is postponed or we have remaining embryos, they are cryopreserved - stored.
  7. In the case of transfer of cryoembryo , after the patient's preparation period happens thawing of the embryos and transfer to the uterus
  8. 10days later after transfer we make blood test- betaHCG
