In 2017, as a result of in vitro fertilization, for the first time in Georgia a 60-year-old woman gave birth to a healthy child. This was the first case in Georgia and the seventh case in the world. The patients' personal doctor was reproductive specialist Maia Butskhrikidze. Patients: Natela Lazishvili and Gurami Lazishvili together with their newborn son and the treating doctor, were invited to appear on Andrei Malakhov's TV show in Moscow
This sensational event was repeated in 2019. Doctor Maya's patients, 60-year-old Lia Tsertsvadze and her husband Gocha Baramidze, became happy parents - a beautiful princess was born. This was the 2nd case in Georgia.
